Our History
Schantz A/S was founded by Morten Schantz in 1994. A few years later, Ole Smedegaard came on-board as Business Partner, and together they established the foundation of Schantz A/S as we know it today - the market leader in its field of expertise. Since then, Schantz has grown steadily, and its client base has swelled as more potential clients, including large corporations from outside of Denmark, have learned about the company. The next leap was taken in 2007 when Schantz was merged into BEC as an independent business division.
Presently, Schantz employs more than 60 dedicated staff and enjoys an annual turnover of approx. 70 mill. Dkk. Our clients can be found in Denmark, The Faroe Islands, England, Holland and The Baltics. In just over a decade, and entirely through inside financing, Schantz has impressed the business world by its rapid growth and self-made success.
Schantz' impressive development has not gone unnoted. Schantz has been nominated several times as a "Gazelle" company by Borsen – Denmarks leading business magazine. In 2007, the chief IT magazine of Denmark Computerworld, awarded Schantz a First Place as the most outstanding software company in the category for Specific Business Software.
